Traveling all over Southern California, the 805 Night Market made its way to Thousand Oaks on Dec. 16-17. Over 30 vendors participated at Cal Lutheran University in representing culture and helping bring the Conejo Valley community together to celebrate heartwarming spirit.
Although the main attraction of the 805 Night Market is the wide variety of cuisines, many also come for the crafts and games. Homemade jewelry, accessories, home decor and clothing were just the beginning of the vendors offered for visitors. NoHo Candle co. & Studio brought not only candles, but also perfume and air fresheners for shoppers to purchase. The amount of scents offered allowed each shopper to find something they enjoyed. Luna Crystals sold a plethora of gemstones in every shape and color imaginable. They were available on necklaces, bracelets, rings and keychains, as well as in the shape of animals.
Carnival-type games provided a bright and vibrant atmosphere where participants could challenge their skills and win incredible prizes.
Many unique businesses were also showcased at this market. Shoe MGK presented their slogan “Respect Your Shoes” by offering cleaning services for guests’ shoes, while also selling their cleaning products and repellents.
FlutterBy was also a significant part of the 805 Night Market, bringing an entire butterfly experience to Thousand Oaks. This exhibit not only brought a mesmerizing observation, but it was also a call to action, helping the community discover conservation methods in order to increase the butterfly population. By simply observing these butterflies, guests gain a deeper appreciation for their beauty in the world. This also offers an educational experience, showing visitors the butterfly’s life cycle and habits made by each one.
Another extraordinary business attending the 805 Night Market was the Puppy Bakery, which targeted the demographic of dog owners. The Puppy Bakery brought gourmet dog treats, freshly baked birthday cakes, pupcakes, donuts, biscuits and cake pops, specifically for dogs and full of quality ingredients.
With the diversity of meals offered, everyone is able to choose their favorites, ranging from fried chicken sandwiches to dim sum to birria ramen. However, the food variety does not end there with the addition of multiple dessert options, such as phenomenal flavors of pudding, chocolate dipped waffle sticks and filled churros.
The 805 Night Market created a joyful and positive environment for all parts of the community to enjoy. Next up, the market will be headed to Santa Barbara and is scheduled to take place on March 16-17.
