Falling in love with seasonal snacks

November is truly one of the most breathtaking months as winter creeps in, and fall slowly comes to an end. As Trader Joe’s is famously affordable and privately labeled, there is immense popularity among their seasonal foods–especially the hospitable and warm fall flavors.

I wanted to focus my tastebuds on cozy flavors and foods that still held strong remnants of the fall season. The Stuffing Seasoned Popcorn had a rich combination of thyme, sage and parsley that contributed to the earthy flavor palette. It was a great savory snack that resembled traditional Thanksgiving stuffing almost perfectly.

Their Butternut Squash Mac & Cheese hid the overall squash flavor as the cheeses and spices overtook the “veggie-like” undertones. It was a really satisfying dish that was a good spin on traditional mac & cheese and Thanksgiving flavors.

Finally, the Teeny Tiny Apple Pies was a perfect balance of sweet and fruity with a classic cinnamon apple flavor and hints of pumpkin spice. The crust was my favorite part with a soft and doughy brown sugar coating that had just the right amount of flakiness and thickness

Trader Joe’s has a lot to look out for this holiday season and the variety is definitely something to take notice of if you’re the type of person who likes fresh and warm seasonal flavors.
